A Taste of Wrightsville Beach
Event Ended: Saturday October 6th, 2018

Bluewater Waterfront Grill will be once again competing in the annual Taste of Wrightsville Beach! This is the 6th year of this local festival and we are bringing an amazing dish from our Executive Chef, Jeff Scott, a past competition winner, that we can’t wait to share with you all!

If you haven’t been before, or are new to the area, this annual festival celebrates the island’s diverse and delicious fare on and around the beach with over 30 local cuisine, beer and wine tasting booths.
The festival brings in celebrity judges that evaluate and rate the dishes with scoring of “Best in Show”, “Best Savory” and “Best Sweet” dishes. Event attendees have the opportunity to select a “People’s Choice” award. In additional, the Wrightsville Beach Foundation is introducing a new award this year and allow attendees to vote on the “Best Beer” and “Best Wine”.
With so many amazing restaurants, chefs and breweries and brewers in the Wrightsville beach area, this is sure to be
a great event!
Any net proceeds will be used towards fundraising efforts for Weekend Meals on Wheels and other Island organizations and projects including: the Wrightsville Beach Sea Turtle Project; Hope from Helen Foundation; The Harbor Way Garden (maintained by the Harbor Island Garden Club); The North Carolina Holiday Flotilla; Tennis Court Lighting; Bike Racks; and future island projects in partnership with the town of Wrightsville Beach’s Parks and Recreation Committee.
About Weekend Meals on Wheels:
The mission of this non-profit organization is to ensure provision of nutritious meals and social contact to senior and disabled persons on weekends and other days not covered by the weekday Home Delivered Meals program in New Hanover County.
In fact, our sister restaurant, The Oceanic Restaurant in Wrightsville Beach is hosting their Inaugural Neighborhood Pier Party on September 30th, benefiting Weekend Meals on Meals. Its a wonderful non-profit that directly impacts the lives of our local residents! We would love for our guests to also join us at Oceanic on September 30th, from 12pm-4pm – we’ll have live music from THE EMBERS, shag lessons, kids activities, sand castle contests and corn hole competitions on the beach! For more info, visit The Oceanic website.
